If you’ve spent some time online, and have been visiting various mattress- and other sleep product-related sites, you might have fallen under the impression that a high-tier, top-quality mattress is something that you could only find in the US. Granted that this is going to be a talk about the best mattress Ireland, you can probably imagine that that’s quite wrong.

I have to say, though - it’s quite a popular opinion. With most of the top-tier mattress companies residing in the States, it’s easy to think that your choices are very limited anywhere else. That’s simply not the case, though - and today, we’ll prove that wrong.

Here are the options for some of the best mattresses Ireland:

Best Mattress Ireland: The Criteria

As is custom with any and all “best mattress” lists that we produce, we’re going to first cover some of the most important aspects to keep in mind when you’re first choosing and trying to find the best mattress Ireland.

Now, look - I could sit here and cite dozens of various seep research articles (or talk about sleep trends, or discuss the classic studies done on sleep[1]), but I think that the fact that you’re going to need some of the best sleep accessories possible in order to improve your quality of sleep is pretty, well… Self-explanatory.

Following that train of thought, if you’re trying to find the best mattress Ireland, you should first establish the core criteria of what to look for - some of these criteria are going to be quite general, while others - unique to you.

General criteria of the best mattresses Ireland would include durability, temperature neutrality, allergy prevention, high-quality materials used in the construction process of the beds, and so on. As you can probably see for yourself, these are some very generalized terms - in other words, everyone is going to want and need a “high-quality, durable mattress”.

Some features, however, are a bit more personal - there are going to be customer best mattress reviews Ireland that talk about the very same bed, but have two opposing opinions about it. That’s simply because different people are going to need different things out of their mattress - some will appreciate motion isolation, others - bounciness. Some might want to alleviate pressure spots on their bodies, while others could just be looking for a bed with strong edges.

So, ya. Each product is going to be different, and people’s opinions may differ, too. Having said that, let’s move on to the actual list and try to find the best mattress Ireland.

1. Dormeo - A Very Unique, Yet Expensive Mattress

Ranks #1 out of 7 Mattresses

On this side of the world - meaning, not the US -, Dormeo does actually appear to be a very popular name in the mattress and bedding industry. There is actually a pretty good reason for why that’s the case, too - the company has some of the most unique mattress technology that you may come across.

Dormeo makes mattresses with what they call theOctaspringtechnology. Their beds contain springs, and for the uninformed eye, may appear to be “just another innerspring mattress”. If you were to take a closer look, however, you’d notice that the springs are actually made from a special type of foam.

Just in case you missed it, let me reiterate - the springs are made out of foam.

If that’s not unique, then I don’t know what is.

This unique technology allows the Dormeo beds to be breathable and responsive, yet also offer some of the best motion isolation and pressure relief features on the entirety of this “best mattress Ireland” list. A truly unique product!

What is the Price of the Dormeo Mattress?

Admittedly, while Dormeo offers some incredible beds to the general public, they do come at a cost… And at a pretty big one:

Needless to say, the prices for the mattress are out of this world. Reading through some customer best mattress reviews Ireland, though, it would appear that the products are worth their price.

2. Emma - Great Price VS Quality Ratio

Ranks #2 out of 7 Mattresses

Emma is one of those brands that offer customers products that are considered to be an amazing compromise between price and quality. Since that could mean a lot of things, allow me to elaborate.

Emma’s mattresses are high-quality products. Customers report that the main benefits that these mattresses have are their great motion isolation capabilities, and also pressure relief features, too.

While there are ways of how you could measure things such as melatonin levels[2] and other sleep-related factors, you probably don’t need to perform a scientific study to understand that, if your spine alignment breaks during the night, you’ll develop pressure points, and will hate your mattress in the morning. Emma’s products can, apparently, help you deal with that.

What is the Price of the Emma Mattress?

Emma’s beds are priced like so:

Purchasing the mattresses from the company’s official UK-based website, the prices are truly great! A worth-while best mattress Ireland option to check out, that’s for sure!

4. Silentnight - Two Opposite Mattress Options

Ranks #4 out of 7 Mattresses

While, most of the time, we concentrate on a single mattress from any company that we talk about, Silentnight is a bit of an exception - this company offers its customers twoopposing” beds.

What do I mean by that, you may ask? Well, for anyone looking for the best mattress Ireland, you should know that Silentnight deals in foam- and spring-based beds.

That’s great for a couple of reasons. First of all, it increases the chances that one of the two beds are going to be right for you”, since they do offer completely different benefits from one another.

5. Tempur - Exceptional Pressure Relief

Ranks #5 out of 7 Mattresses

Same as some of its competitors mentioned on this “best mattress Ireland” list, Tempur is a pretty well-known name outside of the UK and Ireland. The company’s mattress are considered to be top-tier products, since - same as another brand on this list, Dormeo -, Tempur utilizes some special technology with their products.

What this technology does is that it provides the sleeper with some exceptional pressure relief capabilities.

Pressure points can be annoying, and more than that, they can also become a nuisance really fast. If your old bed is giving you trouble, and you’re waking up all sore in the morning, then Tempur might be the solution that’ll help you out. The mattress is a high-end product, and exceeds in the fields of durability and motion isolation, too.

What is the Price of the Tempur Mattress?

6. Hypnos - Handcrafted Mattresses

Ranks #6 out of 7 Mattresses

Hypnos is a bit of a unique pick on this “best mattress Ireland” list. Quite frankly, there are multiple reasons for why that’s the case.

First of all, the Hypnos mattress is a handcrafted product. The mattresses offered by this company are constructed by hand, instead of relying on machinery to do the work.

Naturally, this makes these particular beds rather unique - if that’s what you’re into, then you’ll surely appreciate what Hypnos has to offer. On top of that, the beds are also created from sustainable materials - definitely a huge plus!

The mattresses are breathable, and retain their shape quite decently. Now, the only issue may arise when it comes to the purchasing process of a Hypnos mattress…

What is the Price of the Hypnos Mattress?

Any and all Hypnos mattresses are only available to be bought via retail. While that is, in fact, a huge bummer, the company does state that it has at least eight different retailers that sell their beds in Northern Ireland.

Pricing wise, it would seem that the beds go for anywhere from £699 up to £1399. Considering the fact that they’re handmade products, that’s not at all bad! If you want to “spice up” your sleeping experience, Hypnos might be an interesting pick in the realm of the best mattress Ireland!

7. John Lewis - Sustainable Material-Based

Ranks #7 out of 7 Mattresses

Same as one of the competing brands on this list - Hypnos -, John Lewis deals in handmade mattresses. While it may seem like a common thing (seeing as two out of the seven brands on this “best mattress Ireland” list offer customers handcrafted products), I assure you - that’s less common phenomenon than you might think.

The John Lewis beds are also made from sustainable materials, and are reported to provide the sleepers with some great breathability features. If you sleep hot, these products might help you solve that issue.

What is the Price of the John Lewis Mattress?

The price tags for the John Lewis beds range anywhere from £499 up to £4599. Needless to say, they are definitely some of the more expensive products on this list. That said, being handmade, the price tags do kind of make sense.

I liked the firmness

Nectar is quite a firm mattress, so if that's what you like - I really recommend the Nectar bed. This Nectar review might be too firm for some people though, so if you are really light-weighted, this might not be for you.

Helps with back pain, but could be cooler

Yes, Nectar bed doesn't cost a lot compared to other mattress brands but still I wish it cost less. It's so comfy that I bought one for my mother, she has back pain problems and she also loves this mattress. I read in several nectar mattress reviews that sometimes it's too hot and I have to agree with that a bit, because on very very hot summer nights, it might lack some cooling...

FAQ

What are the features of the best mattress Ireland?

Finding the best mattress Ireland can often seem like a rather difficult task, since there isn't really all that much information about the best beds in the country online. That being said, this is why most of the top-tier products that are sold in the UK are actually considered to be the best beds in Ireland, too - the vast majority of companies ship their products from UK to Ireland. Still, the best mattresses in the country are going to possess the same features as any other high-end bed in the world - durability, cooling, motion and sound isolation, pressure relief, and so on.

How to find the best mattress Ireland for myself?

Frankly, you just have ot sit down and figure out a few things first - what's your budget? What are your mattress type preferences? Are you aiming for a top-tier mattress, or just need a mediocre bed to sleep on for a short while? Once you figure out all of these things, finding the best option for yourself will be much easier, since you'll have narrowed down the choice pool significantly.

How to choose the best mattress for me?

When choosing the best mattress for yourself, there are a few important factors that you should consider. First of all, what type of mattress do you need? The most traditional mattresses are memory foam, innerspring and latex, but there are other options, too. Secondly, think about how much you can spend on a mattress, but remember it doesn’t mean that the mattress is better if it’s more expensive. Furthermore, pick a size and firmness depending on your preferences. Finally, think about your sleeping position, it will also influence your decision.

How much does a good mattress cost?

Mattress price usually varies depending on a few factors, such as mattress type, size, height, quality of the material and durability. Today the price of a mattress can vary from $150 to $7000. However, you can find a good mattress for under $1000. The average pricing of a foam mattress is about $900 dollars, innerspring $950. These are the least expensive mattresses. However, if you can afford more expensive ones, you can consider a hybrid mattress for about $1,650, latex - about $2,000.

What size mattress should I get?

Most mattress providers offer 6 standard sizes, including Twin, Twin XL, Full/Double, Queen, King, and California King. A Twin mattress is great for children or young adults who live alone. A Twin XL mattress is great for children or single adults but not comfortable for couples. A Full/Double bed is excellent for children and couples, however, it won’t work if both people like to have more space. Queen mattresses work great for adults who like to sleep near each other. A King bed is amazing for couples who like to have some space or sleep with a pet. Finally, a California King mattress is amazing for tall people and couples who like to have space or sleep with their pets.

How long does a mattress last? When should you replace your mattress?

Mattress durability depends on the materials that were used to make it. The average lifespan of a mattress varies from 7 to 10 years. However, good quality mattresses can last even longer. It is recommended to replace your mattress every 8 years, but if it still feels great, there’s no need. If you want to buy a mattress that lasts longer than average, you should consider latex or memory foam mattresses. These can serve up to 10 or 15 years while Innerspring mattresses usually last about 7-8 years.
