The Hypoallergenic Mattress

Simmons mattresses in the Natural Care Collection are made with an eco-friendly, all natural latex. Each bed in the collection boasts an extremely comfortable layer of latex drawn from the milk sap of rubber tree plants.

Once collected, the latex is processed using only earth friendly methods into a pliable and comfortable mattress. The latex layer of each mattress ensures its durability.

Natural Latex has the advantage of being hypo-allergenic. It is also a natural deterrent to dust mites, mildew, and mold. This unique quality makes it unnecessary to treat the mattress in chemicals.

Earth Friendly Simmons Mattresses

Customers concerned about the environment will appreciate the fact that all Simmons mattresses in this collection are biodegradable. Each part of a Natural Care mattress is constructed from elements that are close to nature.

The fabrics of the Nature Care are composed of cultivated wood fibers. These wood fibers and the wood used in the foundation of each mattress are purchased from suppliers who are members of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.

The rubber used to produce the latex core of Natural Care mattresses comes from sustainable sources. 65 percent of the latex in each mattress is derived from rubber tree plants on rubber tree plantations that meet sustainable and renewable standards.

Simmons also cares for their customers’ safety. In order to make each mattress as safe as possible it became necessary for a natural fire retardant to be incorporated into the product design. Soy has natural fire retardant properties and was added as a foam base to create a safe sleeping surface.

The Natural Care Collection

The Natural Care Collection includes 3 different mattress styles. First is the New Hope. The New Hope is the basic mattress in this collection but it offers all of the comforts of a true luxury mattress.

Support is provided by a layer of Talalay latex and another layer of natural soy foam. The fibers of the mattress are soft for comfort and breathable for freshness. The New Hope comes in pillow top, plush, and firm models.

The Branch River is the mid-line mattress in the Natural Care Collection. Foam and Dunlap latex layers are designed in increments to provide excellent support and comfort. Tencel wood fiber is used in the fabric covering the mattress for breathability and comfort. The Branch River is specifically designed to relieve pressure points and comes in three models: firm, plush, and pillow top.

Simmons calls the luxurious Pikes Peak mattress a “retreat for your body”. This all natural mattress is composed of the highest percentage of Talalay latex possible. Each individual layer of latex is combined to create a 6 inch base for support.

Many other factors also contribute to the luxury of the Pikes Peak mattress including the Evenloft Design and a soy based foam encasement. This Natural care Collection mattress is available in firm, pillow top, plush, and TruSoft pillow top models.
